Swimming pool heaters are used to keep the water temperature in swimming pools at a consistently warm temperature.

This allows a pool owner to extend the swimming seasons, by two or even threefold. There are three basic types of swimming pool heaters: gas heaters, electric heat pumps, and solar-based heaters. Each type has its advantages and disadvantages. Below we will give a brief example of each and this way you can determine which is best for you.

Rely on electricity to operate. Air is pulled into the heat pump coil, and heat from the air is then transferred to the pool water.  The warm water is circulated to your pool using your filter pump. This is ideal for athletes and pool owners that wish to benefit from consistent warm waters. They can maintain a consistent temperature regardless of the weather, and they also tend to keep the water warmer than others systems. This is one of the best options for homeowners.

Gas Pool Heaters

Natural gas and Propane gas (LP) are pricier but allow you the ability to heat your pool or spa in a much quicker fashion. Depending on the starting temperature of your water, and the set temperature you want your water to be, it can be as little as several minutes until you're enjoying comfortably warm water.
Gas pool heaters are available by multiple Brands: Hayward, Raypak, Jandy, and Pentair to start, and various models of efficiencies by each. With onboard controls and diagnostics, your pool heater can be used by itself or with an external wired or wireless remote depending on your pool control system.
Some Systems can be Wi-Fi integrated or Manufacturer App integrated for off-site control.
